Manchester United produced a confident attacking display to ease past Leicester City, with goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and yet again, Bruno Fernandes.

United looked lively from the very start, and the score was opened by Hojlund early on, with the Dane producing a calm right-footed finish to end his 22-game goal drought, much to the relief of the forward.

The away side remained comfortable over the large parts of the game, yet they had a massive blow early in the second-half after Ayden Heaven had to be stretchered off due to what seems to be a serious injury.

United continued to threaten though, and they had a goal disallowed for offside from Garnacho, before the Argentine found the net again 10 minutes later with a thumping finish, and this time around it stood.

Fernandes wrapped the game up with a sensational strike in the 90th minute, latching on to a cutback from Diogo Dalot before curling it past Mads Hermansen.

Here are our player ratings:

Andre Onana 7

Had a very good and comfortable night. Dealt with some Jamie Vardy shots well and aside from that was largely a spectator. First Premier League clean sheet since late January.

Victor Lindelof 5

He had a mix-up at the back that was well dealt with by Onana, and overall had a rather shaky performance. He was struggling to handle Vardy, and at one point was outmuscled, presenting Leicester with a huge chance to get back into it.

Matthijs de Ligt 8

Another colossal display from the Dutchman. De Ligt followed Vardy and dealt with him well on most occasions. In the second-half he produced a sensational block from a shot by Facundo Buonanotte, and looked very good on the ball throughout the game.

Ayden Heaven 8

The teenager had a sensational first-half, looking assured in possession and handled the Leicester forwards very well. His game was unfortunately cut short after what looked like a serious injury, with him having to be stretchered off.

Noussair Mazraoui 7

Calm and composed throughout the match, practically always playing the right pass.

Manuel Ugarte 7

His usual energetic and busy self. Won plenty of tackles and looked to drive forward on many occasions on his return to the starting 11.

Bruno Fernandes 8

Captain fantastic. Controlled the play and was the best on the ball during the whole game. He was everywhere, helping out at the back while also creating chances at the other end. Effective as ever, and deservedly got another goal right at the end.

Diogo Dalot 7

Had a rather quiet first-half, but he came to life in the second-half after he switched over to the right. Hit a brilliant cross for the Fernandes goal.

Alejandro Garnacho 7

Looked as lively as ever, constantly getting on the ball. His decision-making has improved in recent weeks, and it was clear tonight as well, looking to pass at the right moments. Had a goal disallowed for a marginal offside, before getting his goal only a few minutes later. Ended his 24-game goal drought.

Christian Eriksen 6

Had a tough start to the game with a number of stray passes, before hitting a beautifully-curled effort that hit the post. His influence on the game faded as the pace of the match increased.

Rasmus Hojlund 7

Finally scored after 22 games. He has been much better over recent weeks, and he deservedly got his goal today after producing another solid display, scoring with a neat finish with his weaker right foot. He was constantly getting on the ball today and his passing was tidy. Plenty to build on for Hojlund.

Substitutions

Toby Collyer 7

Came on for Heaven in the second-half and had to play both as a right-wingback and in central midfield. Looked comfortable in both roles as he continues to get more minutes under his belt.

Casemiro 7

Got a few minutes to continue his great run of form. Produced some neat passes and looked assured in midfield.

Joshua Zirkzee 7

Neat and tidy like always, constantly having the beating of his opposition markers.

Harry Amass 6

Made hus United debut on his 18th birthday and got some valuable minutes after being in the matchday squad on so many occasions this season. Still needs to improve physically, but there were encouraging signs from the youngster.

Chido Obi 6

Came on with just a few minutes left to play, but was constantly trying to get involved in the build-up.

Manager - Ruben Amorim: 7

Got everything spot on, giving the likes of Casemiro and Zirkzee a well-needed rest. The decision to continue playing Garnacho on the right is working very well. Another good night for the Portuguese manager, aside from Heaven's worrying injury.
